Announcement
Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) is an annual observance on November 20th that honors the memory of the transgender people whose lives were lost in acts of anti-transgender violence. TDOR was started in 1999 by transgender advocate Gwendolyn Ann Smith as a vigil to honor the memory of Rita Hester, a transgender woman who was killed in 1998 and all those people lost to violence since Rita Hester’s death. Today we will be fundraising for the Transgender Emergency Fund of Massachusetts found here. Please consider donating https://transemergencyfund.org/

Today is Transgender Day of Remembrance so we are doing a hero workout. This memorial workout from OUTAthletics dedicated to Marsha P. Johnson. Marsha P. Johnson, a black, self-identified “drag queen” was a prominent figure in the stonewall uprising. Alongside her friend Sylvia Rivera, she co-founded the activist group Street Transvestite Action Revolutionaries, a radical collective (at the time) that provided housing and support to homeless LGBT youth and sex workers in NY.
